At Trident Solicitors, we believe in being open and honest about our fees. That is why from the time of your initial consultation, we will assess your case and provide you with an assessment of our fees. This means that you can certainty over the costs of our fees.

In the majority of cases, we operate a fixed fee system, which will be identified at the initial consultation. In more complex cases, where it is difficult to specify a fixed fee, we will work on an hourly basis. Where this arises, we will provide a clear estimate of the costs and keep you fully informed together with interim billing, so you are aware of the costs as your case progresses.

We acknowledge that instructing a solicitor can be viewed as an costly expense. At Trident Solicitors, we believe in expert legal advice and representation being affordable and our fixed fees reflect this. When we are successful in defeating the case against you, we will seek to recover the costs you have incurred by way of a Defence Costs Order. The Courts will assess the costs incurred in accordance with legal aid rates, which may mean that only some and not all of your costs are recovered.
